FYI

I am no longer doing special requests. I have been so flooded with what I should make next or can you change this? That I am feeling burnt out and I don't want to be, because I really like to design new templates. So I am going to start charging for custom templates. I feel bad for this but I don't want to feel like I am being taken advantage of. I am not sure what to charge price wise so I am doing a poll to see what you guys think is a fair price. Also price will vary depending on the extent of the design if it is something really fast and simple then I won't charge as much and if it takes a really long time then... well you get the point.
Thanks,
Matie Kay
p.s. the custom blogs can have whatever you want on it, pictures, text, fav. color, certain designs etc...(if you search in scrapbook papers and find a design you love send it to me and I will try to make my own version of it to the best of my ability) I am also planning on doing custom headers but last time I tried I was having problems getting them to load so that is still a 'we'll see'

{I forgot to add that I will still be doing free ones when I get around to it and I also plan on doing seasonal/holiday templates for free}

So will you not be doing a generic template for each month or new designs? Are we going to have to pay for everything or are you going to have some for free?

Matie,

My name is Lara and I have a link to this blog on my blog because I love your designs and I thought it would be fun for people who are just starting out blogging to have a great place to get nice layouts. I just wanted to let you know, don't feel bad for charging for your layouts! It is a great idea, don't stress yourself out! People come to you because they can't figure out how to change it or because they don't want to, so if you have too many requests it is a great idea to charge, I would! Anyway just thought I would give you some feed back!

I have so enjoyed using your templates. I am glad that you will be continuing to do holiday and monthly themes. I would miss them greatly if you decided to stop. Don't worry about charging for special designs and don't get overwhelmed. It's not worth it.
Thanks for all you do!!!!!

As one who has taken complete advantage of your free designs, I thank you. As for what to charge for a template-charge whatever you feel you deserve. I know that doesn't help much, but only you know how much time and energy goes into one of these templates. I'm sure you already have an idea in mind-go with it.

could you make a template with bamboo on it? How did you learn how to do all this neat stuff? Any tips for a beginner?

I understand - as soon as something is more work, it is no longer fun. Now, I love the cherries...how much would it be to change the red background to a light pink or something?!?! Red is my favorite color - but it might be easier for my grandmparents etc... to have a lighter background...even light green. Thanks so much!!

Great job on your templates! You should definitely charge for custom designs. I would figure out how much your time is worth and charge by the hour. :)

**If you ever have problems with the HTML saying it is going to delete something it is probably a widget. So don't save it and email me what template you are using and what widget it says it is gong to delete and I'll add it to that template. I don't have the new widgets put in my old templates HTML and it's very easy to fix if you'll just email me at matiekay@gmail.com (A widget is a gadget you put on your side bar like your family links or like the new subscription links etc...)**
